Hisar (Haryana): Under the direction of Hisar Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain, IPS, Hisar Police is continuously taking effective measures to curb cybercrime and help victims recover their hard-earned money lost to online fraud. In this regard, the Cyber Police Station team has successfully recovered a total of 1,26,195 for two victims in two separate cyber fraud complaints.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Plays Key Role in Recovery
Assistant Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar, posted at the Cyber Police Station in Hisar, played a crucial role in recovering the money through technical investigation and continuous coordination with the concerned banks.
In the first case, registered under complaint number 31308260061026, the complainant was cheated of 69,000 through cyber fraud. Acting promptly, the police managed to recover 46,195 from the defrauded amount and returned it to the complainant’s bank account.
In the second case, registered under complaint number 31309260071205, the complainant had suffered a cyber fraud of 80,000. Through police efforts, the entire amount of ₹80,000 was successfully credited back to the victim’s bank account.
1.26 Lakh Recovered; Victims Appreciate Police Efforts
Thus, Hisar Police recovered 1,26,195 out of the total 1,49,000 defrauded in both cases and returned the amount to the victims.
Upon receiving their money back, both victims appreciated the prompt action and efforts of Hisar Police and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the police administration.
Hisar Police Appeals to Citizens to Remain Vigilant Against Cyber Fraud
Hisar Police has appealed to the public not to trust unknown calls, messages or links. Citizens have been advised not to share their OTPs, bank account details, ATM PINs or any other confidential information with anyone.
In case of cyber fraud, citizens should immediately call the cybercrime helpline number 1930 or register a complaint at www.cybercrime.gov.in.
Filing a complaint at the earliest can play a crucial role in freezing the defrauded amount and facilitating its recovery.
