Mumbai: Bollywood actress Mona Singh has quietly opened a new branch of her restaurant Kona Kona in Mumbai’s Andheri East. The launch arrived just in time for Valentine week, drawing early buzz among food lovers and couples.
What did Mona share on social media?
In an Instagram post, the co-founder Mona Singh shared a video giving the glimpse of the new restaurant.
The bar-restaurant is based on a retro theme with vintage look. The interior of the restaurant gives a comfort and nostalgia of the old times.
In the video, Mona Singh also tells that the main aim to create a neighbourhood bar was to make people feel personal and familiar in the space.
The actress shared the video of the restaurant with the caption, “Hello, new neighborhood! We’ve been a little secret, and most of you guessed it right. Big news! Same vibe, different space.”
Mona also shared her views about the support she received for her first restaurant Kona Kona and the reason for new branch, saying, “The incredible love and support you showed our first Kona Kona truly inspired us. We heard you loud and clear, and that’s why we’re happy to announce that we’ve found one more Kona in the city this time with a much larger space, elevated experiences, and even more reasons to celebrate.”
Telling about the best things the branch has to offer, Mona said, “This new Kona Kona is all about serving your favorite moments, bringing people together, and setting the stage for unforgettable nights.”
How is the interior?
Inside, Kona Kona feels unlike most restaurant-bar in the city. The space uses soft, intimate design and warm tones for colour to make the space feel like calm and peace. The restaurant-bar keeps the light of the interior in a very warm tone.
With green colour walls, orange lamps hanging from the ceiling, old designed wooden furniture and plants placed near the tables, the space is best suitable for people who are more into old and vintage things.
