A shocking incident has come to light from Bengaluru’s Wilson Garden area, where a 45-year-old mechanic, Rashid Pasha, was brutally murdered in front of his children. Initial reports suggest that the killing was linked to a dispute over money.
Was a ₹50,000 Demand the Trigger Behind the Murder?
According to the police, Rashid had recently renovated his shop. Around the same time, some local individuals allegedly approached him and demanded ₹50,000. When Rashid refused to pay, a heated argument broke out between the two sides, which later escalated into violence.
How Did the Attack Unfold?
It is reported that around 8:30 PM on Sunday, a group of three men returned to Rashid’s shop. They allegedly attacked him with a cricket bat and heavy sticks. His two children were present at the scene and witnessed the entire incident.
Did He Die on the Spot?
Rashid sustained severe injuries in the assault and died on the spot. The incident has created panic in the area, leaving residents shaken.
What Was the Family and Government’s Reaction?
The victim’s brother, Nadeem Pasha, said Rashid was a hardworking man and was killed over money in front of his children. Karnataka Minority Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan visited the family to offer condolences.
What Action Has the Police Taken?
Senior police officials, including the DCP of the Central Division, inspected the crime scene. Additional police forces have been deployed as a precaution. A case has been registered, and a manhunt is underway to arrest the accused, who are currently absconding.
