CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026: Results Expected Soon for 1.6 Lakh+ Students
CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation

New Delhi: The application window for CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation and verification closed on June 7. The board has now started the re-checking process on a new platform called OSM (On-Screen Marking). Between June 2 and June 7, over 1.60 lakh students had applied. They have raised objections on more than 3.8 lakh answer sheets. Earlier in May, over 4 lakh students had requested copies of their answer books.

New platform built by IIT Experts?

The OSM platform was developed with help from experts at IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur. Special cyber security tests were conducted before launch. No major vulnerability was found. The board says the new system is faster, safer, and more transparent than the old one.

Examiners cannot see previous marks, why?

This is a key change. During re-evaluation, the examiner can only see the answers a student has flagged. Previous marks are hidden. This removes bias from the process. In several cases, more than one expert is checking the same answer independently.

Some students still waiting for scanned copies?

Not everything has gone smoothly. Several students say they never received their scanned answer sheets. Others say the copies came so late that they missed the deadline to file objections. Complaints have surfaced on social media. CBSE has not responded officially to these grievances yet.

When will revised results come out?

CBSE has not announced an official date. Typically, re-evaluation results are declared several weeks after the application window closes. Since the deadline was June 7, revised results are expected in July 2026.

Who were eligible for re-evaluation?

Only students who applied for scanned copies of their answer books in the previous stage were eligible for this next round. This round includes verifying errors and re-evaluating answers. However, some students raised concerns on social media. They claimed they did not receive their scanned answer sheets on time.

Responding to these complaints, CBSE stated it remains committed to a transparent and student-centric post-result process. The board is currently addressing valid concerns through its support channels.
