After Delhi HC, Taj Palace & Two Max Hospitals Receive Fake Bomb Threats

New Delhi witnessed a series of bomb threats on Saturday, aimed at Hotel Taj Palace and two branches of Max Hospital. Police teams and fire service officials quickly reached the spots and followed bomb threat procedures. Early checks indicate the alerts were fake.

At Hotel Taj Palace in Chanakyapuri, an email arrived early morning saying “16 bombs have been planted in the hotel” and asking that the building be cleared by 11 am. It also mentioned “many VVIPs are in the hotel.” Authorities said the email came at 2 am and was sent from the same address that had threatened the Delhi High Court a day earlier. Police confirmed the hotel received the threat after the court incident.

Police Search Operations at Hotel and Hospitals

Bomb squad units and police searched the entire hotel as per the set protocol. Officials later said nothing dangerous was discovered and initial findings showed it was a false alarm. Around the same time, Max Hospital in Shalimar Bagh also got a bomb threat. “Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Service are at the site, search operation is going on,” the Delhi Fire Service informed.

Cyber Cell Probing Threat Emails

Later in the day, Max Hospital in Dwarka received a similar message. “The fire department got the call at 16:47; both police and fire service teams are at the location,” officials said. The Delhi Police Cyber Cell is now looking into the series of threat emails sent over the past two days.
