New Delhi: The counting of votes in critical by-elections in three BJP governments states has begun. The early trends from the assembly by-election results on Monday showed that Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia abd Gujarat’s Manjalpur. Jan Suraaj Party has jumped the start in Bihar’s Bankipur constituency.

Who is the leading in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia?

The by-elections were held on July 30 in Bankipur assembly constituency of Bihar, Datia of Madhya Pradesh and Manjalpur of Gujarat.

In Madhya Pradesh, BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari had a lead of 1184 votes over Congress nominee Ghanshyam Singh in the second round of votes for the assembly bypoll in Datia. Both Tiwari and Singh received 8,253 and 7,378 votes, respectively, after two of 15 rounds of counting.

Who is leading of the Bankipur?

Early trends in the Bankipur by-election results show Jan Suraaj Party candidate Prashant Kishor was ahead by 862 votes ahead of his BJP rival Neeraj Kumar Sinha, officials said on Monday. After the first round of counting, Kishor got 2,225 votes while Sinha received 1,363 votes and third came RJD’s Rekha Gupta with 505 votes. There will be a total of 31 rounds of counting.

How about Gujarat’s Manjalpur?

BJP candidate Satish Patel easily outpaced Congressman Rajesh Chagani in the Manjalpur by-election by winning by over 8,000 votes in four of 19 rounds of counting, officials said as per the early trends of Manjalpur by-election results.

After four rounds, Patel got 12,941 votes against Congress candidate and former minister Bhikhabhai Rabari who got 4,568 votes and had a margin of 8,373 votes, officials said.
