A heart-wrenching incident has emerged from the Gaya district of Bihar, where 40-year-old Vijay Chaudhary lost his life in a shooting that occurred during a purported birthday party. This crime took place in Gaura village, under the jurisdiction of the Mufassil police station, sending shockwaves throughout the entire region. Since the incident, an atmosphere of fear has prevailed in the village, and the police are actively engaged in a serious investigation into the matter.
According to reports, Vijay Chaudhary was called out of his home by a group of individuals to attend a birthday party. The deceased’s family members allege that Akash Yadav, along with five accomplices, took Vijay Chaudhary to the party venue near Gaura village. Preliminary investigations have revealed that alcohol was being consumed during the party, and the atmosphere was completely intoxicated.
Amidst this setting, an altercation broke out among the people present over some issue. In a matter of moments, the dispute escalated significantly, spiraling into a violent clash. It is alleged that during this scuffle, Vijay Chaudhary was shot, sustaining critical injuries.
Chaos ensued at the scene immediately after the shooting. It is reported that some of the individuals involved in the incident attempted to transport the injured Vijay to Patna for medical treatment. An ambulance was summoned for this purpose; he was placed inside the vehicle, and they set off toward Patna. However, Vijay Chaudhary succumbed to his injuries and passed away while en route.
The most shocking aspect of the incident was that, following his death, the accused individuals fled the scene, abandoning the body inside the ambulance. Upon realizing the gravity of the situation, the ambulance driver immediately informed the deceased’s family members. Subsequently, the ambulance arrived with the body at Darachak village, where the news plunged the family into deep mourning and distress.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation. Since the crime scene falls under the jurisdiction of the Mufassil police station, while the deceased’s residence is located within the Chandauti police station area, police personnel from both stations are conducting a joint investigation into the case. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it to the Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, every aspect related to the crime scene is being meticulously investigated. The police are also working to ascertain the total number of people present at the party and the specific reasons that triggered the altercation.
Commenting on the matter, Sunil Kumar Pandey, the SDPO of Wazirganj, stated that a police team rushed to the scene immediately upon receiving information about the incident. According to him, Vijay Chaudhary died as a result of a gunshot wound, and the entire case is being investigated from every possible angle. He emphasized that anyone found guilty would not be spared under any circumstances, and their arrest would be ensured shortly.
Currently, the police have identified several suspects, and continuous raids are being conducted to apprehend them. This incident has once again raised questions regarding rising crime rates in Bihar and the security protocols at public gatherings. An atmosphere of tension prevails in the village, while the victim’s family members are demanding justice.
