Mohali: Nine years after one of the most shocking murders in the region, a court has finally delivered its verdict. Seerat Kaur has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of her husband Ekam Singh Dhillon. The case dates back to March 19, 2017.

Why the crime that shocked everyone?

Nobody could quite believe that a body that large had been forced into a case that small.

How he was killed?

The post-mortem report confirmed that Ekam Singh died from a gunshot wound. Investigation also revealed that after the murder, attempts were made to destroy evidence inside the house. Blood stains and other forensic material were deliberately wiped to cover tracks.
