New Delhi: The police investigation into the rape and murder of a 22-year-old woman in Amar Colony is intensifying rapidly. According to sources involved in the investigation, the accused confessed during interrogation that he executed the crime as part of a premeditated plan and that his intentions were malicious from the very beginning. Police sources stated that the accused admitted to entering the house with the dual intent of committing theft and sexually assaulting the young woman. During interrogation, he revealed that following the crime, he intended to deliver the stolen money to his home in the village and then flee the area to evade police capture.

Meticulous Examination of Every Aspect

According to police sources, around 9:45 AM on Saturday, the police took the accused to the victim’s residence, where a complete recreation of the crime scene was conducted. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was also present during this process, and every aspect related to the crime was examined in minute detail. The police had the accused re-enact the entire sequence of events—how he entered the building, the route he took to reach the flat, and exactly what he did once inside.

What Transpired Inside the House?

According to sources, the investigation revealed that the accused used a key to unlock the front door and proceeded directly to the bedroom and the study room. The police also ascertained from him the specific locations within the house where he carried out various activities and the precise manner in which he executed the entire crime. The accused was also made to identify the specific spots where the rape, the murder, and the robbery took place.

Movements Recorded and Evidence Collected

During the crime scene recreation, the forensic team meticulously recorded every movement of the accused and collected physical evidence. The police have also secured several crucial pieces of evidence pertinent to this case. These items include the victim’s blood-stained clothes, bloodstains found within the house, the charger cable used to strangle her, the table lamp used to strike her on the head, the accused’s blood-stained clothes, the trousers and shoes he left behind at the scene, the victim’s brother’s trousers—which he wore while fleeing—and a pair of house slippers.

Police Recover Three Mobile Phones

According to the police, three mobile phones were recovered based on information provided by the accused. One of these phones was found in Rajgarh. The accused had sold the phone for ₹13,000 and used that money to travel to Delhi. The police are now examining the call details, location data, and contents of these two phones. The police have also conducted a potency test on the accused. During the course of the investigation, the police have identified several eyewitnesses. One witness stated that they had seen the accused outside the building prior to the incident and had even engaged in a conversation with him.
