New Delhi: There is great news for the devotees undertaking Shri Amarnath Yatra. The dates of Amarnath Yatra 2026 have been announced. This year the Yatra will start from July 3 and continue till the end of August. Like every year, this time too a large number of devotees are expected to arrive, due to which the administration has intensified the preparations. To make the journey smooth and safe, special attention is being paid to arrangements related to registration, security and medical.
How long will the journey last?
This time this yatra will last for a total of 57 days, in which lakhs of devotees are expected to participate. This time Amarnath Yatra will start in the beginning of July and will continue till the end of August. This period will be about one and a half months, during which devotees will be able to travel on different dates as per registration.
When will the registration process start?
Registration has been made mandatory to participate in the yatra. According to reports, the registration process will start in mid-April. Devotees will be able to apply both online and offline.
Is travel possible without registration?
The administration has made it clear that no devotee will be allowed to travel without valid registration. It will be mandatory for every passenger to carry permit and necessary documents.
Are special arrangements being made for security?
Like every year, this time too safety will be the biggest priority during the journey. Keeping in view the sensitive areas, multi-layered security arrangements will be implemented so that the devotees can complete the yatra safely.
Will health related rules also apply?
Amarnath Yatra takes place in high altitude area, hence health checkup is mandatory. Passengers will have to produce a medical certificate and be within the prescribed age limit.
What are the fixed routes for the journey?
Devotees can travel through the traditional Pahalgam and shorter but challenging Baltal routes. Facilities are provided by the administration on both the routes.
Will technology also be used this time?
Systems like RFID cards will be implemented to keep the journey safe and organized. This will help in monitoring and tracking passengers.
