Hisar: In view of the upcoming festivals of Karwa Chauth and Diwali, the Hisar Police have heightened security arrangements across the city. Under the guidance of Hisar Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddhant Jain, IPS, robust security measures are being implemented in markets, major temples, crowded areas, and other public spaces. The police’s top priority during the festive season is to ensure public safety, maintain smooth traffic flow, and uphold law and order, allowing citizens to shop in markets without fear and enjoy the festivities with their families.
Police to Keep a Close Watch Everywhere in Markets and Temples
Given the expected surge in crowds at markets and temples during the festive period, police personnel have been deployed. In addition to uniformed officers, police personnel in plain clothes will also be present to monitor for any suspicious activity. Surveillance will be maintained across major markets, religious sites, entry and exit points, and other high-footfall areas. The police will remain vigilant to ensure the safety of women and to prevent crimes such as pickpocketing, theft, snatching, and other illicit activities.
Special attention will also be given to ensuring smooth traffic flow, preventing unnecessary congestion for shoppers and ensuring that emergency services can move without obstruction.
Instructions for Shopkeepers: Park Two-Wheelers Only in Designated Areas
A designated parking area for the two-wheelers of shopkeepers has been arranged between Rajguru Market and New Rajguru Market. All shopkeepers are urged to park their two-wheelers exclusively in this designated space. Parking vehicles inside the market or along the streets contributes to overcrowding, causes inconvenience to pedestrians, and disrupts traffic. Action will be taken in accordance with the rules against those who park their vehicles on market streets or in restricted areas instead of using designated parking spaces. The cooperation of shopkeepers is essential in keeping the market organised and ensuring a safe and convenient shopping environment for the public.
An appeal to the public: Stay alert, stay safe, and cooperate with the police
The Hisar Police urge citizens to keep a close watch on their belongings and mobile phones while shopping, to inform the police if they notice any suspicious activity by unknown individuals, and to adhere to traffic rules. Do not touch any unattended objects, and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately. In case of any emergency, dial 112. The police are committed to public safety, and necessary measures are being taken to maintain peace, security, and law and order during the festive season.
A message from the SP of Hisar: Festivals are a symbol of joy, brotherhood, and harmony. The Hisar Police strive to ensure that every citizen can celebrate festivals in a safe environment. The public is encouraged to shop with peace of mind, follow the rules, and assist the police by reporting any suspicious activity.
