To strengthen the team’s preparation, the management has included four net bowlers who offer different styles of spin. Shubman Gill will lead the Indian team in the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, with KL Rahul as vice-captain. The squad also includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav. Sai Sudharsan’s selection is reportedly subject to fitness clearance.
The first Test between India and Sri Lanka will be at Galle from 15 to 19 August. The second Test will be played at the SSC Stadium in Colombo from August 23 to 27. Both Tests will start at 10 am IST.
