Tehran: The United States has carried out airstrikes on Iran for the tenth consecutive night, saying the operations are aimed at weakening Iranian military capabilities and targeting commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran, however, has retaliated by reportedly attacking an oil tanker, further escalating tensions and raising concerns over stability in the region.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) says that several important military targets of Iran were targeted in the recent air strikes. These include command centres, naval bases, missile and drone launch sites as well as air defence systems.
