New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has published the first merit list for undergraduate (UG) admissions to its various programmes. Candidates can check the merit list on the official website, jnuee.jnu.ac.in, to know their seat allotment status. Those who have secured a seat must complete the admission process within the deadlines specified by the university.

In order to verify their seat allotment status, candidates are required to log in with their application number and password. After logging in to the website, all information about the merit list is mentioned, and it includes important details like the names of candidates, category, course, score, and your seat allotment status.

What is the next step after seat allocation?

Jawaharlal Nehru University has provided the timeline for accepting the seat. Candidates must accept their seats by 6 August 2026. The pre-enrollment and fee payment portal will remain available from 3 August to 6 August.

Selected students must complete the physical verification of their documents during this time period. They should ensure that all the admission procedures are completed on time. In case of failure of the candidate to complete any of the steps, their allocated seat will be cancelled. Also, JNU is set to release the third merit list on 5 August for postgraduate (PG) admissions.

Selected candidates must complete the admission process. Candidates are required to complete document verification with original certificates. They must pay the required admission fee before the deadline. 

If any candidate fails to complete the admission process on time, then he will lose his allocated seat. That seat can be used for the admission of other candidates in the next round.
