New Delhi: The wait for millions of candidates across the country who appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-exam 2026 is about to end. The NTA is preparing to release the OMR sheets and final answer key for the re-NEET exam on its website soon. Candidates will be able to access the OMR sheets using their individual login credentials. The final answer key will be made available to everyone in PDF format. The main result for re-NEET 2026 will be prepared based on the evaluation of this final answer key.
When will the NTA declare result?
The NTA released the provisional answer key for the NEET 2026 re-examination on June 25, inviting objections from students. Subject matter experts are currently reviewing these objections. Once this process is complete, the NTA will release the final answer key, which is expected by the second week of July.
The NEET UG re-exam result will be announced soon after the final answer key is released. Academic circles are buzzing that the final result may be declared by July 20, 2026. However, students are advised to wait for the official notification from the NTA for exact date confirmation.
After downloading the OMR response sheet and final answer key, candidates can accurately estimate their scores based on the following criteria. Each correct answer will get four marks. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score. No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions whose answers are left blank on the OMR sheet.
How to download final answer key?
Candidates can check their answer sheets by visiting the official website neet.nta.nic.in and following the steps given below.
- For OMR response sheet, first visit the official website of NTA NEET.
- Select the link ‘Re NEET 2026 OMR Sheet’ displayed on the homepage.
- On the new page, login by entering your application number, password and the captcha code displayed on the screen.
- Once the login is successful, the OMR sheet will open. Download it for future reference.
For the final answer key, open the official portal neet.nta.nic.in. Click on the ‘Re NEET 2026 Final Answer Key’ link in the main notification section of the homepage. A public PDF file will open on your screen. Download this file and match the correct answers with your set.
