Vrindavan: Efforts to improve arrangements for devotees visiting the Thakur Banke Bihari Temple have intensified amid the large crowds gathering for darshan. On Wednesday, a team of judicial and administrative officials inspected the temple premises and surrounding areas. During the visit, they assessed crowd movement, security arrangements and the availability of basic facilities.
Officials Assess Crowd Management and Access Routes
The officials inspected the routes leading to the temple and identified areas prone to heavy crowd pressure to understand the challenges involved in managing the flow of devotees.
Special attention was paid to the narrow lanes in the temple area, major connecting roads and entry and exit gates. The officials examined the potential difficulties in managing movement when large numbers of devotees arrive simultaneously. Devotees from various states across India, as well as from abroad, visit the temple for darshan. Ensuring smooth crowd management and providing convenience to visitors therefore remain key priorities for the temple administration.
Security, Cleanliness and Basic Facilities Reviewed
The team also reviewed security arrangements, traffic management, cleanliness, drinking water facilities and the availability of healthcare services in the temple area.
Those present during the inspection included retired Allahabad High Court Justice Ashok Kumar, retired District and Sessions Judge Mukesh Mishra, District and Sessions Judge Vikas Kumar, Munsif/Civil Judge Pratyush Anand Mishra, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar and Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Amaresh Kumar, along with other officials.
Focus on Improving Devotees’ Darshan Experience
Devotees visit the Thakur Banke Bihari Temple throughout the year. During religious occasions, festivals and special events, the increase in footfall puts additional pressure on traffic and movement in the surrounding areas.
In this context, the on-site inspection is being viewed as an important step towards ensuring smoother darshan for devotees and improving essential facilities in and around the temple.
