New Delhi: Mobile users who are looking to buy a smartphone with a huge battery have a new alternative in the Indian market. Tech brand Poco has announced the launch of its Poco M8 Power 5G in India from today. It is the first day of the Poco M8 Power’s sale, and the company has announced a Rs 3,000 discount on this day.
What is the discount on the price?
The POCO M8 Power 5G mobile phone will be offered at a reduced price. The initial cost of this mobile phone model is Rs 24,999 for the one that has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. However, the cost would be discounted to Rs 21,999 due to the use of the discount.
The model having 8GB RAM and 128GB memory is the highest specification variant of the smartphone and costs Rs 27,999. The price of the device after the Rs 3000 discount is Rs 24,999. The 5G smartphone with 8GB RAM is available at the same price offered by the company as the 6GB one.
The discount of Rs 3,000 consists of a Rs 2,000 discount from the bank and a Rs 1,000 discount using the coupon. The bank discount is applicable on the HDFC, ICICI, SBI and BOB credit cards. Poco M8 Power is available in Blaze Orange, Black and Green colours on Flipkart.
What are the specifications?
This mobile phone is powered by an 8000mAh battery that has a five-year lifespan. It scored 15 hours and 56 minutes in 91Mobiles’ PCMark Battery test. It features 45W fast charging, allowing faster charging. It also supports 22.5W reverse charging, which allows the POCO M8 Power to charge other phones.
The screen of the POCO M8 Power 5G is of 6.9 FullHD+ with a resolution of 2396×1080. This display is built on an AMOLED panel which supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1800nits peak brightness. This mobile has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection is provided for screen protection. Due to the Wet Touch 2.0 feature, the phone can be operated even with wet hands.

To prevent the phone from overheating during heavy processing, it has been provided with a 10416mm Graphite Cooling Area, which helps keep the mobile cool. POCO M8 Power 5G comes with Expandable RAM Technology that can expand the mobile’s RAM from 8GB to 16GB by adding virtual memory space. Let us tell you that this smartphone has been launched with a 4th-generation Android OS upgrade and 6 years of security updates.
Photography-wise, it has a 50MP primary photo sensor. Also available is an 8MP camera on the front for selfies. The HyperOS 3, which is powered by Android 16, runs the phone. Poco states that the phone will be given four years of OS updates and six years of security updates.
