National News: Aam Aadmi Party leaders fiercely attacked the government over the lathicharge by Delhi Police on the students who were protesting at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi demanding correction of irregularities in SSC exam. AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi state convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj, senior leader Manish Sisodia and other senior leaders including Leader of Opposition Atishi shared the videos of police lathicharge on social media and called it dictatorship of the government. Aam Aadmi Party has assured to stand with the SSC students and help them in every possible way.
Arvind Kejriwal said that students were fighting for justice for months regarding the irregularities in the SSC exam. Instead of listening to their voice, they were lathi-charged in the dark of the night. Just think, the hands that should have been holding books yesterday, have marks of injuries today. Media people were also prevented from covering the news. Open hooliganism is going on in the country. Lathi-charge is done on those who ask questions and their voice is suppressed. Anyone can be picked up and put in jail, any law can be changed whenever they want.
Allegations of rigging from NEET to SSC
AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the demonstration of SSC students which has been going on for several weeks in Delhi was happening on Sunday at Ramlila Maidan. For several weeks SSC students and their teachers have been raising their voice. There some students and their teachers were protesting peacefully. These included small girls, young boys and teachers. But the Delhi Police under the Central Government has done a very shameful act and tarnished democracy.
Police Assault Students, Social Media Videos Viral
He said that the police first cut off the lights of the tent and made it dark so that the children could be attacked in the dark and no video could be made. After this, policemen in plain clothes brutally assaulted the students and beat them up. The children turned on the lights of their phones and recorded videos, which are viral on social media.
Parents’ Dreams Shattered By NEET Exam Corruption
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that parents educate their children in school for 12 years so that the child can study and become a doctor, engineer, chartered accountant, clerk, steno or pass SSC and get a small government job. People in villages and towns invest all their money in tuition and coaching. After passing 12th, children study for 18-18 hours, take the NEET exam and it is revealed that organized rigging is taking place in NEET. This is not a small cheating, but a well-planned corruption. Unworthy people are being made doctors and capable people are being thrown out.
Hardworking SSC Aspirants Crushed By Bribery System
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the same thing is happening in SSC exams. Children who have worked hard for two-four years are sitting at home in ruins and those who have made a deal by paying money are becoming clerks and officers. The youth of the country is fighting for their rights on the streets, and the BJP’s central government and Delhi Police are beating them with sticks. This is extremely shameful.
Delhi Police Brutality Spares No Protest Group
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that in the last 10-11 years, there is no such class left that has not been beaten by Delhi Police. Traders came out on the streets against GST, they were beaten. Doctors protested against the law, they were beaten. Many student protests took place, they were beaten. Armymen demanded One Rank One Pension (OROP), they were beaten at Jantar Mantar. Lawyers went on strike, they were beaten. Dog lovers, who speak English and vote for BJP, they were also beaten. The slums of the poor are demolished, hawkers are removed and they are also beaten.
Why lathicharge on the youth instead of giving them jobs?
Senior leader and in-charge of Punjab Manish Sisodia said on Twitter that BJP’s lathi-leela took place in Delhi’s Ramlila ground. Lathis were mercilessly used on SSC students and teachers, they were dragged by holding them. The Modi government is number one in giving employment, but is number one in distributing lathis on the youth.
Opposition Slams BJP Over Repression
Leader of Opposition Atishi said on Twitter that the BJP government used police batons on SSC students and teachers at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. The youth who asked questions were not heard, but were dragged on the ground and beaten. This shows that instead of democracy, the BJP’s system of oppression is running in the country. The voice of those who ask questions is crushed.
