Railways Approve Tri-Weekly Dhanbad–Bhopal Train – Easier Pilgrimage to Mahakal Darbar

Good news for the residents of Dhanbad waiting for a new train. A new train will soon run from Dhanbad to Bhopal three days a week. Approval has been received from the Railway Board. The timetable of the train has also been fixed from both ends.

The train departing from Dhanbad will run every week on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from Bhopal on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Departing from Dhanbad at 7:20 a.m., it will reach Bhopal at 7:00 a.m. the next day.

On the return journey, departing from Bhopal at 8:55 p.m., it will reach Dhanbad at 8:30 p.m. the next day. At present, most trains reach Bhopal in the evening or at night.

Because of this, those traveling out of the city have to wait until the next day. The train departing from Dhanbad will leave in the morning and reach the next morning. The date of commencement of operations will be announced soon.

Train will run via Howrah–Bhopal route
The Dhanbad–Bhopal tri-weekly train will be operated on the route of the weekly train running between Howrah and Bhopal. From Dhanbad it will go via Phusro, Gomia, Patratu, Latehar, Garhwa Road, Daltonganj, Renukut, Chopan, Obra Dam, Singrauli, Katni Murwara, Khanna Banjari, Bina, Ganj Basoda and Vidisha to Bhopal.

Easier access to Mahakal Darbar
With the start of the Dhanbad–Bhopal train, reaching Ujjain’s Mahakal Darbar will become easier. Currently, the Howrah–Indore Shipra Express and Kolkata–Ahmedabad Weekly Express are available for Ujjain. Both trains reach Ujjain at night.

With the Dhanbad–Bhopal train, one can reach Bhopal in the morning and then reach Ujjain during the day itself by any connecting train.
