Mathura: Newly elected BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Arya from Uttarakhand visited Mathura on Tuesday as part of a religious pilgrimage. At the Chitragupta Peeth Ashram, located on the Chhataikara-Radhakund Road, he offered prayers to Maa Adishakti. He subsequently met Peethadhishwar Dr Swami Sachchidanand Maharaj and sought his blessings. The ashram management welcomed him upon his arrival.
This was Dinesh Arya’s first religious visit to Chitragupta Peeth since being elected to the Rajya Sabha. During a special prayer ceremony at the ashram, he bowed before Maa Adishakti and prayed for happiness and prosperity. On the occasion, Peethadhishwar Swami Sachchidanand Maharaj and Manoj Srivastava honoured him by draping a traditional chunari over his shoulders and presenting him with a memento.
Dinesh Arya appreciated the religious traditions of Chitragupta Peeth and its efforts towards social welfare. He said he had visited the ashram to seek the blessings of Lord Chitragupta and meet Peethadhishwar Dr Swami Sachchidanand Maharaj.
The atmosphere remained devotional during the meeting and prayer ceremony at the ashram. When asked questions about political matters, MP Dinesh Arya declined to comment.
