Demographic Profile and Voter Details
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process is being carried out in Bihar as per the Election Commission of India’s order before the 2025 Assembly polls. The aim is to make sure all eligible voters are included in the electoral roll so they can exercise their right to vote. The previous intensive voter list revision in Bihar was carried out in 2003. The Raghopur Assembly constituency falls under Vaishali district.
Dalits make up a large part of the population here, along with OBC communities such as Yadavs, Kushwahas, and Maharajans, while Muslims also form a strong voter base. The seat has frequently alternated between the JDU, BJP, and RJD, with election outcomes largely influenced by Dalit voters, the mobilisation of OBC communities, and the strength of political alliances.
