Vrindavan: Following the death of Rasik Dulari Sharan, also known as Deepak, a disciple initiated by Sant Premanand Maharaj, under suspicious circumstances, discussions have intensified over possible changes in the arrangements at his ashram. After the ashram announced that the initiation process would remain suspended indefinitely, reports have now emerged of new instructions regarding the lifestyle and clothing of disciples. There are also discussions that some prominent disciples associated with the ashram’s management may give up their ascetic attire. However, the ashram has not officially released detailed information in this regard.

It is being reported that deliberations are also underway regarding the increasing number of disciples seeking initiation at the ashram and the criteria for their eligibility. Discussions of internal differences have emerged over the practice of granting initiation without any examination or detailed process. Amid several questions being raised about the ashram’s arrangements following Deepak’s death, the need to make changes to the initiation process is reportedly being felt. As part of this, the decision has been taken to keep the initiation process suspended indefinitely for the time being.

According to sources associated with the ashram, objections have also reportedly been raised over householders who wear ascetic attire. Under the new guidelines, household disciples are reportedly being instructed not to wear special yellow or white ascetic clothing. Such disciples may instead wear regular kurta-pajama or kurta-dhoti. People involved in managing the ashram reportedly believe that there is a need to maintain a clear distinction between ascetic attire and the identity of household disciples.

Meanwhile, discussions are also spreading that some disciples involved in managing the ashram may give up their ascetic clothing. However, these reports could not be independently verified. Following Deepak’s death, various claims have continued to emerge regarding changes in the ashram’s internal arrangements. In this situation, there is an ongoing wait for the ashram management to provide clear information about the rules and proposed changes.

The police investigation into the death of Rasik Dulari Sharan, also known as Deepak, is ongoing. Investigating agencies are also examining various facts that emerged after the incident, along with videos circulating on social media. Against this backdrop, the reported changes in the ashram’s arrangements are also being viewed as significant in the wake of the incident.
