New Delhi: The dispute that started over Holi water balloons in Uttam Nagar turned into a bloody fight. In this area of Delhi, there was a fight between two neighbors over a trivial matter. The dispute that started with throwing a water balloon escalated into knife fighting. In this incident, 26 year old young man Tarun died while the other was injured. The police have registered the case.
At around five in the evening, a crowd of people protesting against the incident started gathering under Uttam Nagar Metro East. After five o’clock the number of people reached hundreds and people blocked Najafgarh Road from both sides towards Janakpuri and the lane towards Dwarka.
How did the fight start?
There was an old rivalry between two neighboring families. On the day of Holi, children were throwing water balloons. A balloon fell on a neighboring house. After this the matter escalated and abuses started. After this the scuffle started again. Meanwhile, angry people set on fire the car, bike and some other items parked outside the accused’s house. Seeing the situation worsening, senior officers of Delhi Police also became active on the spot and a large number of police forces were deployed in the area.

A knife came out from one side and the other side also took up weapons. They attacked each other with sharp weapons. A man fell down with his throat cut and started bleeding. People took him to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.
