Mumbai: Police investigation has intensified in the case of firing Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) reached Mumbai with the three accused from Kota in Rajasthan on the morning of Wednesday, October 21. After medical examination, the accused were taken to the AEC office amid tight security. The police are now interrogating them about the conspiracy of the attack, supply of weapons and their alleged handlers. Meanwhile, the scope of the investigation has reached Delhi, where the Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested four more people.
Why were the three accused brought from Kota to Mumbai?
The Mumbai Crime Branch team had left Kota with the three accused at around 10:30 am on Tuesday. The team reached Mumbai at around 3:30 am on Wednesday. After this, the accused were directly taken to GT Hospital, where their medical examination was completed in about 20 minutes. He was then taken to the Anti-Extortion Cell office amid security.
According to Crime Branch sources, the accused were shifted from one vehicle to another more than four times during the journey. During this time, the police was continuously interrogating him. The investigating officers want to know why the accused had booked a cab to go to Surat instead of traveling by train.
How far did the accused travel with the weapons?
According to police, the accused traveled by local train till Borivali and then took a cab to go to Surat. Investigating agencies are probing his travel route, contacts and activities. Apart from this, information is also being collected about the background of the accused and the alleged handlers who instructed them.
Information has been given that the three accused will be produced in the court on Wednesday afternoon. His lawyer Ajinkya Miragal also reached the AEC office.
Who was arrested for supplying arms in Delhi?
The investigation into the Tiger Shroff firing case has now reached Delhi. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested four people, including two women. According to the police, these people are accused of playing a role in arranging and delivering the weapons allegedly used in the attack.
Police arreated Kunal, Sumit, Radha and Babita and handed them over to Mumbai Police. It is alleged that Kunal and Sumit had arranged for the weapons, while Radha and Babita had gone to Mumbai’s Dadar area, where they allegedly handed over the guns to three people. The investigation into these allegations is ongoing.
How did the firing incident on Tiger Shroff happen?
According to the police, actor Tiger Shroff had gone to play football in Juhu area of Mumbai on Sunday evening. While returning home, his BMW car was passing through the crowd present at the gate of the campus. Meanwhile, two people allegedly fired six to seven rounds at the car.
It was reported that one of the attackers was very close to the actor and had aimed towards him. However, Tiger Shroff had a narrow escape as the gun reportedly jammed. Information about the actor’s driver and another person present there being injured in the incident came to light.
