On Monday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai conducted an aerial inspection of flood-affected areas around the Chitrakote waterfall on the Indravati River in the Bastar division. The Bastar region has been facing flash floods for the past few days, caused by heavy rainfall and rising water levels.

Himachal CM reviews affected districts

Later, CM Sukhu held a meeting with the Chamba district administration at the NHPC Bhawan in Karian.In Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu conducted an aerial survey of Bharmour, Manimahesh, and other calamity-hit regions in Chamba district. He also inspected the Fatehpur and Mand areas of Indora in Kangra district following the release of excess water from the Pong Dam on Saturday. Later, Chief Minister Sukhu met with the Chamba district officials at the NHPC Bhawan in Karian. He directed the officials to speed up relief and rescue measures and ensure proper arrangements for food, water, shelter, and other essential supplies for stranded people.

Roads and basic services to be restored

The Himachal CM also instructed the district authorities to focus on reopening blocked roads, especially the NH-154A route that connects Chamba to Bharmour. He stressed that temporary restoration of electricity and water supply should be ensured so that people in the affected areas get immediate relief.

UP CM surveys Ghazipur flood areas

On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas in Ghazipur following his visit to Varanasi. He told officials to take steps so that people do not face problems during this difficult time. CM Yogi directed divisional and district officials to stay alert and make sure arrangements for food, water, health services, and temporary shelter are in place.

Special care for people and livestock

The UP CM asked authorities to pay attention to cattle feed, clean drinking water and medical needs. He also ordered that medicines, anti-snake venom and anti-rabies vaccines be kept in stock in flood-affected villages. CM Yogi said the state government stands with every citizen in this difficult hour and called for fast relief and rescue work so that immediate help reaches the victims.
