Muzaffarnagar: Bilaspur Cut on Delhi-Dehradun National Highway-58 has come under the spotlight following back-to-back incidents of public violence. After a video showing a youth being beaten by several people surfaced from the area on Friday night, another clash broke out on Saturday around 9 pm when a minor sideswipe between two motorcycles triggered a fight between two groups.
The argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, with members of both sides exchanging punches and kicks in the middle of the road. A video of the incident has since circulated on social media.
How Did a Minor Dispute Escalate?
According to available information, the latest incident began after two motorcycles brushed against each other on Saturday evening. Around four to five young men riding the bikes became involved in an argument, which soon turned violent.
The confrontation drew attention from people nearby as the two groups began attacking each other on the road. The public fight caused a commotion, while several onlookers watched the incident unfold.
Viral Video Shows Both Groups Exchanging Blows
The video shows members of both groups engaging in a prolonged physical altercation. Despite the dispute reportedly beginning over a minor incident, the situation intensified, with young men from both sides seen assaulting one another.
The identities of those involved have not yet been established. Eyewitness Bittu said the argument and subsequent fight continued for around 10 minutes before some people intervened and separated the groups. One youth’s clothes were reportedly torn during the clash.
Repeated Incidents Raise Safety Concerns
The incident took place at Bilaspur Cut, which falls under the jurisdiction of New Mandi police station. A night earlier, another video showing a group of people beating a young man in the same area had gone viral on social media.
With two incidents of violence reported from the same location on consecutive nights, concerns are being raised over public safety and disputes escalating into physical fights along this stretch of the highway.
