Ratia: A 30-day ‘Naam Simran’ (meditative chanting of the Divine Name) gathering and a special diet-based wellness camp have commenced with great devotion at the renowned religious site, Gurdwara Sri Guru Granth Sahib Angitha Sahib, in village Nathwan. Bhai Gurjit Singh Ji (from Australia) has arrived specifically to serve as the primary facilitator for this sacred event. Under his guidance, a large number of devotees participated in the practice of ‘Naam Simran’ on the very first day.

‘Seva’ and ‘Simran’ are the Foundations of Life: Bhai Gurjit Singh

Addressing the congregation, Bhai Gurjit Singh Ji stated that the true purpose of human life is the remembrance of the Divine Name (‘Naam Simran’) and selfless service (‘Seva’). Every individual should engage in the daily chanting of the Divine Name and consistently perform virtuous deeds. Engaging in ‘Seva’ and ‘Simran’ brings peace to the mind.

He explained in detail why ‘Simran’ is essential, how it should be practiced, the benefits it offers, and the most opportune times for such meditation. He noted that the Gurdwara Sahib organises such practice-orientated gatherings periodically to help the congregation connect with the spiritual path.

The Gathering Will Continue Until November 28

The organisers shared that this 30-day ‘Naam Simran’ practice gathering will continue uninterrupted until November 28. Devotees from various states across India—including Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Hyderabad—as well as from abroad, are arriving to participate.

A Confluence for the Purification of Both Body and Mind

A unique feature of this gathering is that it addresses the purification of both the body and the mind. While the ‘Naam Simran’ sessions focus on the purification of the mind, a natural diet-based wellness camp has also been organised to help purify the body and assist in overcoming serious ailments. During this camp, experts provide guidance to the congregation on how to lead a healthy life.

There is great enthusiasm in the region regarding this event, with a large number of devotees attending daily to derive spiritual and physical benefits. On this occasion, ‘Guru ka Attut Langar’ (a continuous community kitchen) was also organised at the Gurdwara Sahib.
