Amritsar: After the blasts in Amritsar and Jalandhar, Punjab, police and security agencies have intensified the investigation. Meanwhile, DGP Gaurav Yadav has termed the claims being made by the Khalistani organization as false. He said that some people are trying to spoil the atmosphere and spread fear among people through social media. According to the DGP, the police have found important clues in the investigation and action can be seen in this case soon.

While talking to the media, the DGP clearly said that the claim of someone’s death made by Khalistan Liberation Army is false. No death has been confirmed so far. He said that some forces are deliberately trying to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab.

The DGP admitted that the possibility of role of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies is also not being ignored during the investigation. According to him, attempts to destabilize Punjab have been made earlier also and in this matter also investigation is being done from all angles.

Gaurav Yadav reached Amritsar and inspected the incident site himself. Initial investigation has revealed that the blasts were probably carried out using an IED. The possibility of using a timer or remote control device has also been raised in the Jalandhar case.

Police believe that behind these incidents there may be an attempt to spread fear and instability among the people. The DGP said that such activities may have been carried out in view of the anniversary of “Operation Sindoor”.
