Samajwadi Party MLA Pooja Pal paid the price for praising CM Yogi! Akhilesh expelled her from the party

Uttar Pradesh News: Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Pooja Pal had to pay a heavy price for praising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav expelled her from the Samajwadi Party on charges of anti-party activities. This action was taken after Pooja Pal praised CM Yogi in the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

During the 24-hour marathon discussion on ‘Vision Document 2047’ in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, SP MLA from Chail seat of Kaushambi, Puja Pal, praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Puja said, “Everyone knows who killed my husband. CM Yogi helped me in that difficult time and got the criminal Atiq Ahmed punished.”

Akhilesh’s strict action

The SP leadership considered this open praise of Pooja Pal as anti-party activity. Akhilesh Yadav took immediate action and expelled Pooja from the party. The letter issued by SP said that Pooja repeatedly did anti-party activities and did not stop her activities despite warnings, which caused damage to the party. It was also made clear in the letter that Pooja will no longer be able to attend any program or meeting of SP.

Pooja Pal’s response

After her expulsion, Pooja Pal said in her reaction that she is the voice of the women of Prayagraj who have lost their loved ones. She said, “I became an MLA later, first I am a victimised woman. My husband was murdered in broad daylight. CM Yogi not only gave justice to me but also to many others. I stand by my statement.”

There has been rebellion before

This is not the first time that Puja Pal has rebelled against the SP. Earlier, in the Rajya Sabha elections held in UP, Puja was among the seven SP MLAs who supported the BJP by cross voting. At that time, Akhilesh had expelled three other MLAs from the party, including Manoj Pandey, Rakesh Pratap Singh and Abhay Singh. Apart from this, in the Phulpur by-election of Prayagraj, Puja had gone against the SP and supported the BJP candidate, due to which many party leaders were angry.
