New Delhi: In a shocking revelations by Bollywood’s veteran actor Neena Gupta, she opened up about being verbally abused by one of her directors. The Badhaai Ho actress shared some unknown experiences like mistreatment and wrong behavior on the sets.
What Neena Gupta said about facing abuse on the set?
In an interview with Times Now, Neena Gupta said, “You wouldn’t believe it, I have faced abuse on set. I was subjected to harsh insults without any reason. The director used those terms. Situation mein phasi nahi thi, paise chahiye the na. Kuch aur milta toh yeh nahi karti (I wasn’t in that situation willingly; I needed the money. If I had other options, I wouldn’t have done that).”
What Neena Gupta revealed about her film choices?
Not just this, Neena also made other revelations about her film choices. Talking about the same, Neena Gupta revealed that she found some of her roles uneasy, to such extent that she even wished the films would never release.
Talking about the same in the same interview, Neena said, “Maine aise aise kaam kiye hai ki main ghar aake Bhagwan se prarthna karti thi yeh picture na release ho. Ek mein Shakti Kapoor ke gang ki member thi. Utna hi mera role tha (I have done such films that after going home, I prayed they never released. Once, I did a film where I played one of Shakti Kapoor’s gang members and stood there. That was my role).”
Meanwhile, talking about the professional front, Neena Gupta has been active in small screen as well. She also appeared in series such as Saans, Khandaan, Gul Gulshan Gulfaam, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, and Panchayat.
Neena Gupta was recently seen in Vadh 2, helmed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu. The film also featured Sanjay Mishra and Kumud Mishra. Vadh 2 was produced by Luv Ranjan’s Luv Films.
