Mumbai: A painful accident has come to light during the Ganpati festival in Lalbagh area of Mumbai. At least two people died due to electrocution near the Ganpati pandal of Kalachowki Department Public Utsav Mandal located on Dattaram Lad Marg, Kalachowki. An 8-year-old girl is also included among the dead. Four other people were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred at a time when a large number of devotees were present in Lalbagh area for Ganpati darshan. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the concerned employees of the police, fire department, BEST and municipal corporation reached the spot.
How did the accident happen amidst such a crowd in Lalbagh?
According to the information, this incident happened near Ganpati Pandal on Dattaram Lad Marg at around 3 pm. Due to Ganeshotsav, there was already a huge crowd of devotees in the area. Meanwhile, due to the spread of electric current near the pandal, many people got affected by it.
After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot. Police and other emergency teams immediately took the injured to the hospital.
Whose lives were lost including that of an 8 year old girl?
Information about the death of 8 year old Ragni Yadav has come to light in this accident. Another person also lost his life in the accident. Four injured have been admitted to Masina Hospital, Byculla, Mumbai for treatment.
The injured include Kiran Akbar Naik, Tanvi Naresh, Sahil Sandeep Tare and Ruhi Singh. According to the report, the condition of all four is said to be stable at present.

A day before this accident, a young man had died near Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal. According to the information, 25-year-old Jaideep Meghraj Nemade of Pune was present near the pandal with his friends. During this time he suddenly had chest pain.
According to the official, Ganeshotsav Mandal officials took him in an ambulance to the nearest hospital, where he died during treatment. Kalachowki police have registered a case of accidental death in this case. No complaint or suspicion has been expressed by the family regarding any kind of wrongdoing.
