Patna: Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, has been granted bail by the court after spending 12 days in jail in connection with the Patna coaching centre shooting case. The development comes a day after the death of his brother, Prince Yadav, under suspicious circumstances in Nepal.

What did Roshan Anand say?

Roshan Anand stated in court that he was not involved in the incident and will fully cooperate with the investigation. After coming out on bail, Roshan is expected to attend his brother’s funeral.

Police had sent Roshan Anand to jail on June 3for allegedly attacking Khan Sir’s coaching center. In a recent hearing, the Patna Civil Court rejected his bail plea, but he was granted bail today.  

What did the court say?

While granting bail, the court said, “Khan and Roshan Anand are gurus; they should behave like gurus. Both are teachers; they should have healthy competition and not engage in criminal activity.” 

Roshan Anand’s lawyer said, “Roshan was not involved in the incident. If Khan accused us of conspiracy, why did we hide the fact of the bodyguard’s firing?”

Roshan Anand’s bail plea could not be heard on June 12. Khan’s lawyer requested permission to be absent from court on medical grounds. The court postponed the hearing due to this. 

When was Roshan arrested?

On June 2, Khan Sir’s coaching centre in Patna was attacked. Khan Sir filed a case accusing Gyan Bindu Coaching director Roshan Anand and his brother Prince Yadav of the attack. Subsequently, on June 3, the police arrested Roshan Anand and sent him to jail. Prince Yadav fled to Nepal and was staying in a hotel with his friends. 

What happened to Prince?

Prince Yadav died under suspicious circumstances in a hotel on June 14. Following this, Tej Pratap Yadav demanded the release of Roshan Anand, requesting him to attend his brother Prince’s funeral. Roshan Anand’s bail plea was heard in court on Monday, and he was granted bail. Prince’s body will be cremated today. Roshan Anand will be able to attend his brother’s funeral. 

What did Khan sir say?

Khan Sir stated Prince’s death. He suspected a third party’s involvement in Prince’s death. He expressed his deepest condolences to the family and paid tribute to Prince. He pledged full cooperation. Khan Sir demanded the death penalty for the culprit.
