It is often believed that drinking a small amount every day is harmless and may even help reduce stress. Few, however, know that alcohol has a direct impact on the brain, liver, heart and nerves. This effect is variable, depending on the amount and repeated use of the drink.

This is the reason that researchers and doctors have been researching the safe amount of alcohol.

How much is the safe amount of alcohol?

According to the experts of health care field, there is no safe amount of alcohol. It should be remembered that there is no safe amount of alcohol at all. This means that if you drink alcohol daily, you are at risk! There are, however, some recommendations according to which:

  • Men can take 2 pegs of alcohol a day, i.e., 28 grams.
  • Women can consume 1 peg of alcohol a day, i.e., 14 grams.

If you consume more than this, the body is unable to digest and expel the alcohol in time, and the harm starts.
