Paresh Rawal Has Not Quit Hera Pheri 3
According to Vicky Lalwani’s Instagram page, Paresh Rawal has clarified that he is still very much a part of the Hera Pheri franchise. He has not returned any signing amount. Paresh Rawal stated that the reports claiming he has quit the film are baseless.
Paresh Rawal Returned ₹11 Lakh?
A report by Bollywood Hungama had claimed that Paresh Rawal had withdrawn from the project. It alleged that he had returned the ₹11 lakh received as a signing amount to the producers, along with 15 percent annual interest.
What Was Paresh Rawal Unhappy About?
The report also claimed that Paresh Rawal’s total fee was set at ₹15 crore. The contract reportedly stipulated that Paresh Rawal would be paid the remaining ₹14.89 crore one month after the film’s release. Paresh Rawal was reportedly unhappy with this condition. The film’s shoot is scheduled to begin next year. This implies that Hera Pheri 3 would likely be released in 2026 or 2027. Consequently, Paresh Rawal would have had to wait two years to receive his outstanding dues. The report further claimed that the announcement video for Hera Pheri 3 was shot on the sets of Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
It is worth noting that some time ago, Akshay Kumar mentioned in a podcast that Hera Pheri 3 is not currently in production. He stated that Hera Pheri 3 would be made only when the “right time” arrives. He also jokingly added that he hoped they wouldn’t have grown too old by the time that “right time” finally came around. The Controversy Began in 2025
The controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3 began in 2025, when Paresh Rawal stated that he would not be doing the film. Fans were deeply disappointed by this news. Subsequently, reports emerged that Akshay Kumar’s production house had filed a lawsuit against the actor, citing the losses incurred due to Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit. Later, however, reports surfaced indicating that Paresh Rawal would indeed be a part of the third installment.
