Lucknow: Storms, lightning and heavy rain wreaked havoc in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night. The death toll from the weather has reached to 89 in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Reports regarding damage are coming in from several districts, including Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Kanpur Dehat, and Fatehpur. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken the situation seriously and has directed the officials to immediately expedite relief and rescue operations.

What did CM Yogi say?

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the loss of life, livestock, and economic damage caused by heavy rains, storms, and lightning in Uttar Pradesh. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He has directed all district magistrates and other departmental officials to reach the scene and provide all possible assistance to the victims. He stated that negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.

What did CM Yogi instruct to officials?

The Chief Minister has instructed officials to remain on alert. He has also directed the revenue, agriculture, and insurance companies to conduct a survey of the damage and inform the government. Following the survey, they have been asked to complete the damage assessment and provide immediate compensation.

Yogi Adityanath stated unequivocally that neglecting victims will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He ordered the District Magistrates of all districts to visit the families affected by the storm and provide all possible assistance. CM Yogi directed that the loss of life, livestock, and financial damage be immediately assessed and compensation be distributed to victims within 24 hours.

Following instructions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Relief Commissioner’s office is continuously monitoring the situation in all districts. Administrative officials have been instructed to remain on alert. Senior officials have also been asked to visit the site to monitor rescue operations.

The Yogi government has also initiated the process of providing financial assistance to affected families. Officials have been instructed to ensure that no affected families are provided with relief. Meanwhile, lightning and strong winds have damaged houses, crops, and trees in many areas.

In light of the situation, the administration has issued a warning and urged people to stay in safe areas. The government claims that rescue and rehabilitation efforts are underway on a war footing to ensure all possible assistance is delivered to the affected people as quickly as possible.
