Faridabad: The brutal murder of a female teacher inside a private school on Monday morning in Faridabad, Haryana shocked the entire area. A masked youth entered the school premises and attacked 30-year-old teacher Sandhya with a knife 34 times in just 32 seconds. The incident was captured in CCTV camera, after the video of which was released, the seriousness of the incident is being estimated. The police took prompt action and arrested 21-year-old accused Amit within two hours. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused had been harassing the teacher for a long time and being angry over the conversation being stopped, he had conspired to murder her.
Did accused plan to attack as soon as she reached school?
According to the police, the accused reached the school on Monday morning on an unnumbered motorcycle with a cloth tied over his mouth. He asked to meet the teacher. As soon as Sandhya came towards the school gate, the accused took out a knife and started attacking her. There were continuous blows on the neck, chest and other parts of the body. School director Tejpal Singh tried to intervene, but the accused threatened him too and tried to attack him. After the incident the accused fled from the spot.

The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV cameras installed in the school. In the footage, the accused is seen continuously attacking the teacher with a knife. According to police officials, the video played an important role in speeding up the investigation. Based on the footage and technical evidence, the police identified the accused and arrested him from Kot village within a few hours.
Did old identity become the reason for murder?
During interrogation, accused Amit admitted that about two years ago he studied in the same private school where Sandhya taught. During this time both of them were identified. According to the police, the accused had a one-sided attachment with the teacher and used to constantly stalk her. Sandhya had distanced herself from him and stopped talking. Not only this, she had also warned the accused that if he did not stop stalking her, she would file a police complaint against him. Angered by this, the accused planned the murder.
Was the incident planned in advance?
Investigation has revealed that the accused had reached the school with full preparation. He had covered his face with a cloth to hide his identity and had also planned to run away immediately after the incident. Police believe that the murder was pre-planned. At present the accused is being interrogated to find out when and how he prepared for the crime.

Faridabad Police said that on the complaint of the deceased’s husband Vikas, a case of murder has been registered in Sector-58 police station. Preparations are being made to present the accused in the court and take him on remand. At the same time, the school director said that Sandhya had been teaching in the school for the last year. She lived in Firozpur Kalan with her husband and was originally a resident of Dabua area of Ballabhgarh.
