New Delhi: If you are planning to travel by train on Jammu, Katra or Pathankot route, then definitely check the new schedule of your train before leaving home. Indian Railways has changed the timetable of many major trains running from and passing through Jammu division. These include some DMU trains including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Kalka-Katra Express, Kamakhya Express and Jabalpur-Katra Express. According to the available information, the new timing of some trains has come into effect from October 20, while the timing of other trains will change from October 21, 22, 23 and 25.
What is the new timing of Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express?
Train No. 22478 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will depart from Katra station at 5:40 am from October 20. After this, the train timings at major stations falling on the route will be as follows:
- Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra: 5:40 am
- Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Station: 6:08 am
- Jammu Tawi: 7:08 am
- Martyr Captain Sunil Kumar Chaudhary Kathua: 8:01 am
Passengers travelling on this route are advised to check the revised train timings before reaching the station.
What was the change in the timing of Kalka-Katra and Kamakhya Express?
According to the information released by the Railways, the timing of Kalka-Katra Express (14503) has been changed from October 20. This train will leave from Jammu Tawi at 3:20 am and from Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan station at 4:12 am. The train is scheduled to reach Katra at 4:47 am.
At the same time, there will be a change in the timings of Katra-Kamakhya Express (15656) from October 21. This train will leave from Katra station at 3:40 am. Its departure time at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan station will be 4:06 am.
Due to these changes, passengers should confirm the train timings as per their date of travel.
When will Katra-Ghazipur City and Sabarmati Express depart?
According to railway information, the new timing of Katra-Ghazipur City Express (14612) will be applicable from October 22. From this day the train will leave from Katra station at 3:40 am.
Apart from this, the timetable of Sabarmati-Katra Express (19415) will be changed from October 25. As per the revised schedule, this train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 4:15 am. Its departure time at Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan station will be 5:16 am. The arrival time of the train at Katra station is scheduled at 6:25 am.
Passengers should note that these changes are coming into effect from different dates. Therefore, it is important to match the time mentioned on the ticket and the latest updates of the Railways.
What is the new schedule of Jabalpur-Katra Express and DMU?
The timing of Jabalpur-Katra Express (11449) has been changed from October 20. As per the new schedule, the train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 8:30 am and from Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan station at 10:02 am. Its arrival time at Katra has been fixed at 11:50 am.
Meanwhile, Jammu Tawi-Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan DMU (74909) will leave from Jammu Tawi at 8:10 am on October 20 and will reach its destination station at 10:10 am.
As per the details available for another DMU train number 74906, the train will depart at 8 am and reach Pathankot Cantt at 12 noon. At the same time, the departure time of train number 16317 from Jammu has been fixed for October 23 at 8:30 am.

Passengers travelling from Jammu division should check their train date, departure station and new timing in advance. The revised timetable of all trains is not being implemented from the same day, hence reaching the station based on the old schedule may cause problems.
