New Delhi: The long list of conditions made by a young woman for her future husband on the social media platform X has sparked a new debate. Some people called it a matter of personal preference, while many users termed these requirements impractical. The post is becoming increasingly viral and thousands of people are giving their opinion on it.
What were the girl’s conditions?
X user Vedika (@Crushtology_) wrote in the post that she will only marry a man who is a virgin, earns at least Rs 2 lakh every month, is naturally handsome, is 6 feet tall, knows how to cook, has respectful behavior towards women and does not use social media.
What else does she want?
The girl further wrote that her future husband should not have any female friend. He takes her permission before going anywhere, shares his live location 24 hours a day and even takes her on foreign trips from time to time. At the end of the post she asked, “Where can I find a boy like this?”
How was the reaction on social media?
As soon as this post went viral, users gave different types of reactions. Many people said that it seemed more like an advertisement for a job than the terms of marriage. One user wrote that the woman is not looking for a husband but “a person with a high salary, a personal chef, a bodyguard and someone who is under surveillance all the time”.
Did people even make fun of her?
Many users also made humorous comments on this post. Someone wrote that after seeing such a long checklist, it seems that what is needed is not a husband but a “custom-made AI”. Another user jokingly tagged Elon Musk and wrote that if such a person is found on Mars, he should be sent.
Did some people also support the girl?
However, not all reactions were critical. Some users said that every person has the right to set choices and criteria for his or her life partner. Some people also argued that if a man had put forward similar conditions then perhaps there would not have been as much criticism. For this reason many people also called it an example of double standards.
