A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Ludhiana, Punjab, where a young man named Gagan reportedly died due to a heroin overdose. His parents live in the United States, and he was set to join them soon. Locals claim his friends injected him with drugs, resulting in his critical condition.

Allegation Of Forced Drug Injection

The deceased has been identified as Gagandeep Singh, known as Gagan, resident of Boparai Kalan village. According to the family, two of his friends allegedly administered a high dose of a narcotic injection. Gagan’s brother, Jasdeep Singh Jassa, along with businessman Gary Saholi, stated they will not proceed with the post-mortem or funeral until the accused are arrested and charged with murder.

Family Demands Justice Before Last Rites

Gagan’s wife has reportedly fainted multiple times since hearing the news. His body is currently kept at the village mortuary. The family insists no final rites will be conducted until justice is ensured. The emotional pressure is high, and the village community has supported the demand.

Incident Timeline Raises Serious Questions

Jasdeep’s complaint reveals that on Tuesday evening, Gagan’s two friends took him along on a bicycle. Later at night, they left him outside his house in unstable condition. He was vomiting continuously. Before collapsing, Gagan reportedly told his family that the same friends injected him with a large dose of heroin and fled afterward.Gagan was married for five years but had no children, which delayed his travel. He was in the final stage of documentation and was soon to move to the US to live with his parents. His family is known for promoting sports, pedigree dog breeding, and premium clothing business in Punjab.

Police Await Post-Mortem Results

According to DSP Varinder Singh Khosa, accurate cause of death will be confirmed once the post-mortem report is received. Investigation teams are actively tracking the two accused based on Jasdeep’s complaint. Both are reportedly involved in drug supply, and they are currently absconding. Police officials claim they are close to locating the suspects and arrests will be made soon. Authorities believe this case is part of a wider drug network operating in the region. Gagan’s death has triggered shock and anger in the community, intensifying pressure on law enforcement.
