According to the family, two of his friends allegedly administered a high dose of a narcotic injection. Gagan’s brother, Jasdeep Singh Jassa, along with businessman Gary Saholi, stated they will not proceed with the post-mortem or funeral until the accused are arrested and charged with murder.

Gagan’s wife has reportedly fainted multiple times since hearing the news. His body is currently kept at the village mortuary. The family insists no final rites will be conducted until justice is ensured. The emotional pressure is high, and the village community has supported the demand.

He was in the final stage of documentation and was soon to move to the US to live with his parents.
