New Delhi: A dispute over noise that started late on Sunday night in Kilokari village of south-east Delhi took the life of a musician. 54-year-old Chongtham Vikram Singh, a resident of Manipur, had asked the people making noise outside the house to reduce their noise. After this an altercation took place and it is alleged that the people present there started beating him. He was taken to Holy Family Hospital in critical condition, but he died during treatment. Police have arrested seven people in this case and have also caught a minor.
What happened outside the house?
According to the police, Vikram Singh had come down from his house at around 11.30 pm on Sunday night. Some people were allegedly making noise in front of his house. These are said to include people doing delivery work and employees associated with dhabas. Singh asked them to reduce the noise. The matter escalated so much that some people beat him up. According to the family, the attackers chased them and reached inside the building.

After the assault, Singh ran towards his home, but it is alleged that the attackers chased him. Police are trying to understand the incident with the help of CCTV footage. In the footage, some people are seen coming out of the building after the incident. Police are now finding out who was involved in the attack and what role they played.
Why couldn’t he survive after reaching the hospital?
Vikram Singh suffered serious injuries in the attack. His son Yaifaba took him to Holy Family Hospital. After his condition worsened, doctors treated him, but he could not be saved. According to reports, he died of haemorrhagic shock caused by severe injuries.

Police have arrested Bharat Kumar, Pramod, Ramzan Khan, Deepanshu, Mohan Vishwakarma, Vijay and Mannu. A 15-year-old minor has also been arrested. According to the police, the accused are associated with different dhabas and food shops. Now they are being interrogated to find out what led to the dispute and who played what role in the fight.
