Karachi: Zubair Baloch, brother of Uzair Baloch, one of the most famous gangsters of Pakistan, was fatally attacked in Karachi on Thursday evening. Armed assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire indiscriminately outside his house, seriously injuring Zubair. There were bullets in his chest and stomach. He was immediately admitted to Karachi Civil Hospital, where his condition remains critical. Two other people, who were present near the incident site, were also injured in this attack. Police have registered a case and started investigation and many aspects including gang war, political rivalry and personal rivalry are being investigated behind the attack.
How did the attackers commit the crime?
According to the police, the incident took place when Zubair Baloch was present outside his house. Meanwhile, masked miscreants riding on a bike reached there and started firing at him. According to eyewitnesses, the owner of a nearby shop returned fire, after which the attackers fled from the spot. Police officials say that efforts are being made to identify the accused by capturing the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby.
Who is Zubair Baloch?
Zubair Baloch is the brother of Pakistan’s notorious gangster and defunct People’s Peace Committee (PAC) chief Uzair Baloch. He was arrested in the year 2012 and released in January 2026. According to local media reports, after coming out of jail, he had recently joined a political party and became active in party activities in his area. It is believed that after this change, his activities once again came into discussion.

Earlier in the year 2020, he was convicted in an espionage case and sentenced to 12 years.
